Goldenrod - leaves and stems



Goldenrod - leaves and stems were used.

Pre-mordants used L-R: Alum, Tin, Copper, None

Dyed on Shetland white wool.

No assists were used.

Thank you for your hard work on this. I used your blog and the gardening website as a guide a couple of weekends ago and dyed some wool with Pokeberries and also some with goldenrod flowers. Neat results... used alum for the mordant. Got a brick color with the pokeberries (probably let the water get too hot) and lovely clear yellow with the goldenrod. Will blend them together with some green and some white silk for spinning. Sample made a very nice fall themed yarn.
